Australia’s victoria has been declared a disaster state.Victoria’s State Premier Daniel Andrews made the announcement at a news conference on Sunday (August 02). In addition to declaring a disaster state, lockdown has been imposed in the state to prevent infection.

At the press conference, Daniel Andrews said Victoria had been declared a ‘disaster state’ to deal with the corona infection.Night curfew has also been imposed in the state capital, Melbourne. Residents have been asked to abide by the new restrictions. The new restrictions came into effect from 6:00 pm local time on Sunday.

Daniel Andrews added that the ban, which began in mid-September, would last for six weeks. Residents of Melbourne will be subject to the curfew everyday from evening till the next day 8:00 am. There are also restrictions on leaving home. Australia is more successful in dealing with corona than many other countries. However, the number of victims in Victoria is increasing. So we have to be more strict.

The corona virus spread from Wuhan in China’s Hubei province late last year. So the number of deaths and infected is increasing by leaps and bounds. The number of victims is also increasing in Australia. So far 17,923 people have been infected in the country. 208 people died. 10 thousand and 420 people have recovered.
