The target is to provide vitamin A to more than 3 lakh children in Chandpur. The National Vitamin A Plus Campaign will be held across the country from June 5 to June 19. The 15-day program will provide blue vitamin A capsules to children aged 6 to 11 months and red vitamin A capsules to children aged 12 to 59 months. This program will also continue in Chandpur.
At the same time, it is part of the campaign to spread the message of feeding a balanced amount of home-made food in addition to breast milk when the baby is 6 months old.
In order to successfully implement the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign, a source in the Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office said that the target is to bring more than 3 lakh children in Chandpur district under the Vitamin A Plus Campaign.
Of these, 36,810 are between 6 and 11 months of age and 2,81,405 are between 12 and 59 months of age.
