14,000 vaccine crisis in Chandpur

In Chandpur, 60,390 people received the first dose of Corona vaccine. Of these, 46,269 people have taken the second dose. Due to the lack of vaccines, 14,121 people are still unable to take the second dose, said Chandpur Civil Surgeon Shakhawat Ullah.

He said Chandpur district was at risk of corona infection. Currently, the Corona situation is under control. So far 4,678 people have been infected by corona in Chandpur. Of these, 2,169 people were infected in Chandpur Sadar, 237 in Haimchar, 290 in Matlab North, 418 in Matlab South, 513 in Faridganj, 468 in Hajiganj, 169 in Kachua and 414 in Shahrashti.

According to the Civil Surgeon, so far 3,325 patients have been admitted to the isolation ward in Chandpur and 3,304 have recovered.

Besides, a total of 4,336 corona patients have recovered in the district. Of these, 122 died of corona. There are still 220 patients are undergoing treatment.

He added that construction work of an oxygen plant has already started at Chandpur Government Hospital for the medical services of Corona. The work will be finished very soon. In addition, three ICU beds have been allocated. Due to various complications including ICU room, its activities have not started yet. Hopefully it will launch soon too.

“Everyone needs to cooperate to control the situation,” he said.

Masks and sanitizers should be used in all offices and courts. In addition, everyone must wear a mask.
