144 crore loan disbursement in Chandpur: 116 crore collected.In Chandpur, public and private banks have disbursed Tk. 144 crore 16 lakh 9 thousand in agricultural loans and poverty alleviation till December 2020. Of this, Tk. 120 crore 97 lakh was disbursed by 7 government banks and Tk. 23 crore 18 crore by 24 private banks.
A source in the district agriculture committee said in a statement on February 7.
State-owned banks in 8 upazilas of Chandpur have disbursed Tk. 144 crore 16 lakh 9 thousand in agricultural and poverty alleviation loans till December in the fiscal year 2020-21.
The distribution rate is 51% and 36% of the allocation. 303 crore 85 lakh has been allocated in the financial year 2020-21.
On the other hand, in those branches, the bank has collected 116 crore 89 lakh 10 thousand taka from various customer including arrears till December of the year 2020-21. Out of this, 101 crore 77 lakh was collected in 6 government banks and 15 crore 12 lakh in 24 private banks.
A bank official of Agrani Bank said, “Agrani Bank is in constant touch with its customers to collect various categories of loans. As the bank officials are collecting the loan, they are also giving the loan immediately.”
