50 Districts Including Chandpur Are Completely Locked Down

50 districts of the country including Chandpur are completely locked down: partially 13 districts.The government has taken area-based lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country. Sanitation and legal measures will be implemented in different parts of the country including Dhaka by identifying the red zone, yellow zone and green zone considering the prevalence of the disease.

After being informed from the top level of the government, the website of the Ministry of Health is showing the complete lockdown (considered as red zone) of three divisions, 50 districts and 400 upazilas of the country. The partial lockdown (considered yellow zone) is being shown in five divisions, 13 districts and 19 upazilas. And one district showing non-lockdown (considered green zone) and 75 upazilas are being shown.

Barguna, Barisal, Patuakhali and Pirojpur are being called a complete lockdown in the Barisal division in the latest updated list on Saturday, June 06 on the ministry’s website. Partial lockdown in this section is Bhola and Jhalakati.

In the Chittagong division, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Comilla, Cox’s Bazar, Feni, Khagrachhari, Laxmipur and Noakhali are being called a complete lockdown. Partial lockdown in this section is Bandarban, Chittagong and Rangamati.

Gazipur, Gopalganj, Kishoreganj, Madaripur, Manikganj, Munshiganj, Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Rajbari, Shariatpur and Tangail are being called as complete lockdown in Dhaka division. Only Dhaka and Faridpur partial lockdown in this section.

Within the Khulna division, Chuadanga, Jessore, Khulna, Meherpur, Narail and Satkhira are being called a complete lockdown. Bagerhat, Kushtia and Magura are called partial lockdown in this section. Jhenaidah is the only green zone in the country in Khulna division, which means it is not a lockdown.

Bogra, Joypurhat, Naogaon, Natore and Rajshahi are being called as complete lockdown in Rajshahi division. Partial lockdown in this section is Chapainawabganj, Pabna and Sirajganj.

All the eight districts of Rangpur division are being called complete lockdown. The districts are Dinajpur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Rangpur and Thakurgaon.

All the districts of Sylhet division are being called a complete lockdown. The districts of the division are Habiganj, Moulvibazar, Sunamganj and Sylhet.

All the districts of Mymensingh division are also being called as complete lockdown. These four districts are Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Netrokona and Sherpur.

Meanwhile, 38 areas of Dhaka metropolis are being shown as partial lockdown (considered yellow zone) on the website of the Ministry of Health. However, 11 areas are being shown as not lockdown (considered green zone). So far no area of ​​Dhaka is being shown as a complete lockdown (considered a red zone).

The 38 areas identified as partial lockdown of the metropolis are: Adabar, Thana, Uttara East, Uttara West, Wari, Kadamtali, Kalabagan, Kafrul, Kamrangirchar, Kotwali, Khilkhet, Gulshan, Gandaria, Chawkbazar, Demra, Tejgaon, Tejgaon, Tejgaon, Tejgaon. Dhanmondi, Newmarket, Paltan Model, Pallabi, Bangshal, Badda, Bimanbandar, Bhatara, Mirpur Model, Mugda, Mohammadpur, Jatrabari, Ramna Model, Lalbagh, Shah Ali, Shahjahanpur, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Sabujbagh, Sutrapur and Hazaribagh police stations.

The 11 areas identified as non-lockdown are Uttarkhan Thana, Cantonment Thana, Khilgaon, Turag, Banani, Bahantech, Motijheel, Rampura, Rupnagar, Shahbag and Shampur Thana areas.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the lockdown is starting in some places through the zoning system from Sunday, June 07. Hygiene will be implemented by marking the most affected areas as red, the less affected areas as yellow and the less affected or infection free areas as green zones. The police will be strict in accordance with the special guidelines of the corona in the red zone, even if there are measures in the green zone to prevent the spread of infection in the yellow zone.

According to the latest bulletin of the Department of Health, 63,026 people have been infected with corona in the country so far. Of these, 2,635 people have been infected in the last 24 hours. Of the victims, 846 died. Of these, 35 people have died in the last 24 hours.
