Chandpur District Administration, Fisheries Department, Naval Police, Coast Guard, Chandpur Sadar Fisheries Department, Haimchar Fisheries Department, Matlab North and South Fisheries Departments have jointly conducted 175 operations and 35 mobile courts in the maritime boundary of the upazila till March 1-18.
A report has been received from the Monitoring Cell of Chandpur District Fisheries Department on March 18 at around 4 pm and the operation is being conducted under the Jatka program.
In this, 6.719 MT of Jatka, 37 lakh 46 thousand meters of current net has been seized.
Its current value is 7 crore 49 lakh taka. The jatka have been distributed to local orphanages.
Besides, 2 lakh 54 thousand fines have been collected. 48 cases have been registered and 88 people have been sent to jail.
