231 people have died in the last 24 hours from the deadly coronavirus. The death toll from the virus rose to 20,916 people.
At the same time, 14,844 people were identified as infected with the virus. In the last 24 hours, the total number of newly identified patients stood at 12 lakh 64 thousand 324 people.
Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department of Health, Prof. Nasima Sultana gave this information on Sunday, August 1.
According to the notification, 48,481 samples have been collected and 49,529 samples have been tested in 24 hours. So far a total of 77 lakh 90 thousand 423 samples have been tested in the country.
