In South Africa corona infected exceeded 5 lakh.Coronavirus is spreading rapidly, according to the South African health minister, one of the top countries on the list.
South African Health Minister Juelini Mikheji said the total number of infected people had risen to 5 lakhs and 3 thousand 290 since more than 10,000 new Covid-19 patients were identified on Saturday. Of the victims, 8,153 have died so far.
South Africa is the worst-hit country in the African continent. About half of the continents that have been identified as Covid-19 positive so far are in South Africa. The country also has the fifth highest number of corona patients in the world after the United States, Brazil, Russia and India.
Researchers fear that the actual number of corona cases and deaths in the country is much higher. Health officials in South Africa say the rate of infection is rising rapidly. The virus is spreading rapidly, especially in the capital Pretoria and surrounding areas.
One-third of the country’s total patients are residents of Goteng, known as the commercial hub. In addition, the province quickly became the epicenter of the Corona outbreak nationally. It is expected that the virus will reach its peak in another month, which means that the number of infected people will increase at an alarming rate.
