In Chandpur, in two days, 17 people were infected by corona. Corona infection in Chandpur is increasing at an alarming rate. The number of victims has jumped from 3 to 14 in one day. In two days, corona of 17 out of 146 samples was identified in Chandpur. Out of these 17 people, 11 are in Sadar upazila.
According to the sources, in the report of 69 samples received on Wednesday, the corona of 3 people was identified. The reports of the remaining 66 people came negative. Of the 77 samples collected on Wednesday, 14 corona were identified. With this, a total of 2,920 people have been infected in the district. Of these, 2,758 have recovered.
The number of upazila-based victims is: 1278 in Chandpur Sadar, 176 in Haimchar, 213 in Matlab North, 309 in Matlab South, 317 in Faridganj, 252 in Hajiganj, 108 in Kachua and 267 in Shahrasti. Besides, 4 people from Dhaka, 2 people from Laxmipur, 30 people from Matlab (South) ICDDRB, 1 person from Comilla Medical College and 1 person from Narayanganj are infected. These samples are tested in MA Wadud RT PCR Lab in Chandpur.
In Chandpur district, the number of deaths due to corona is 88 so far.
Excluding the number of healthy and dead, 62 people are currently undergoing treatment. The number of deaths in the upazila is: 28 in Chandpur Sadar, 14 in Faridganj, 17 in Hajiganj, 7 in Shahrasti, 6 in Kachua, 11 in Matlab North, 4 in Matlab South and 1 in Haimchar.
