A passenger named Rezaul Karim, 32, was killed in a collision with a mini pickup van in Chandpur and a passenger on Hannan (1) was critically injured.
The two incidents took place on Sunday, September 22, at around 8:30 pm at Batiyalpur village of South Dhanua village of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur. The deceased was identified as Rezaul Karim, son of Nabash Ali of Bahertali village of Kaliakir upazila of Gazipur district. He was reported to be an area manager at an NGO called Bureau Bangladesh.
And the injured old Hannan Mia was unknown at first, but only his name could be heard from his mouth. According to eyewitnesses, it was his home in Goal Bhawar village of Faridganj upazila of Chandpur. The father’s name was not immediately known. Doctors say the condition of Hannan Mia is also hopeful.
Chandpur Model Police Station SI Mofizul Islam said that on Sunday evening, the injured men left for Chandigarh on a CNG scooter to Faridganj. Meanwhile, a mini pickup van of Chittmeto T-1-3 was parked in the parking lot at night when Bhatyalpur village of South Dhanua village of the upazila.
The CNG scooter of Chandpur Th-4-6 left from Chandpur collided with that pickup van as the pickup lights were not lit. As a result, a passenger with CNG was seriously injured. Meanwhile, the passenger named Rezaul Karim was killed. I continue to do legal work.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Chandpur Government General Hospital, Doctor Sujuddaula Rubel and Medical Officer Mizanur Rahman said the person died at the spot.
When the witnesses took them, we examined him and found him dead. Up to 17 people were seriously injured. His condition is also very appalling. Seeing his condition terrifying as he too could die at any moment, we sent him to Dhaka for better treatment.
However, we do not know her name but we are currently continuing her treatment at the hospital.
