How to stay home inthe quarantine .If you are at risk or suspected of being infected with coronavirus, you need to be at home on quarantine (isolating yourself in a particular room of your home). The quarantine has to be in the room to prevent the coronavirus from spreading. It is being observed in Bangladesh as well as with the whole world. In particular, the Department of Health urges all expatriates to stay home or voluntarily stay in quarantine.

But what should you do when you are in quarantine? What do other family members have to do? The Health Department requested that some instructions be complied with.

The directive was announced in a government statement on Sunday. It says, “The quarantine must be separate from other members of the household. If it is not possible to maintain at least 3 feet distance from others. Separate beds must be used for sleeping. The light should be in the room, with the wind entering. ‘

‘If possible use separate bathrooms and toilets. If it is not possible to open the windows in those places, adequate lighting should be provided. You have to reduce the number of places that you have to use with others. ‘

The guidance states, “A breastfeeding mother can breastfeed a baby. When approaching the baby, you should wear a mask and wash your hands thoroughly. The baby in the quarantine must be applied to her. They will have to provide adequate playing equipment. Toys should be disinfected before and after the game. ‘

‘No animal can be kept in quarantine. Masks should be used when staying in the same room with other members of the household, especially when coming within a meter. You should use the mask if you need to get out of the house. It cannot be handcuffed while wearing a mask. When using mask, contact with cold, spit, cough, vomiting etc. should be opened immediately and use new mask. The mask used should be washed thoroughly with soap-water in a lid containing dirt. ‘

‘Don’t use one’s personal belongings to another. Do not use quarantine person’s dishes, glasses, utensils, towels, bed sheets. After using these items, you should clean them thoroughly with soap-water. ‘

‘Masks, gloves, tissues, etc., or other garbage used by the person in the quarantine, or other garbage, should be dumped in lid containers in that room. These garbage should be burned without leaving open space. Adherence to daily routine, such as eating, exercise, etc. If possible, from home to office work. Reading books, listening to music, watching movies or engaging in any entertainment that does not violate the above rules.

The directive states, “A healthy family member who does not have chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, asthma, etc. can be employed as a caregiver. He will be in that room or next door. Do not change position. No guest will be allowed to meet the person who is in the quarantine. Do not touch anything in the room with the attendant empty handed. ‘

‘When coming in contact with a person in quarantine or entering his room, before and after making food, before meals, after using the toilet, wearing gloves and opening or when the hands look dirty, both hands should be cleaned. Floors, furniture, toilets and bathrooms need to be cleaned at least once daily. For cleaning, mix 20 grams or 2 tablespoons bleaching powder in one liter of water and wipe it thoroughly. The solution can be used up to a maximum of 24 hours. ‘

‘Quarantine person should be asked to clean his clothes, bed linen, towels etc. with powder soap or cloth soap and water. The cloth should be well dried. The dirty cloth should be kept separate in a laundry bag. Dirt or dirty clothes cannot be shaken and you should not take your body or clothes into it.

‘During quarantine, the phone must be connected to the Internet. If you have any symptoms such as more than 100 degree fever, cough, colds, sore throat, shortness of breath, etc. during quarantine, you should immediately contact the IEDCR hotline number to know the next course of action.

‘At the doctor’s suggestion, the quarantine will end. The physician’s decision may vary from one quarantine to another. However, based on the data available so far, the timeframe is 14 days’, – it is said in that direction.
