In Chandpur 1 died of Corona and 5 died of symptoms. Six more people died while undergoing treatment at Corona Isolation Ward of Chandpur Government General (Sadar) Hospital. Of these, 1 had corona disease, 1 had corona negative report and 4 had corona symptoms. Among the dead, five died from Monday morning to afternoon and one on Sunday.

Chandpur Sadar Hospital Corona Focal Person Dr. Sujauddaula Rubel told the ‘Chandpur Times’ that Sirajul Islam, 70, of Bakila area in Hajiganj was admitted to Sadar Hospital on April 16 at noon. He was afflicted with corona. He died at 1:50 pm on Monday while undergoing treatment in the isolation ward.

Besides, Milon Gazi (70) of Zafarabad area of ​​Puranbazar died at around 2 pm on Monday. He was admitted to the hospital at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday. However, his corona test report came negative.

He added that Syedunnesa, 70, of Madrasa Road in Chandpur town, died at 3.15 pm on Monday. She came to the hospital at 2.15 pm on the same day. Majeda Begum (70) of Ashikati in Chandpur Sadar Upazila died at 3:30 pm. An hour before she arrived at the hospital.

Besides, Salamat Mizi (68) of Guakhola area of ​​the city died at 3.50 pm. He arrived at the hospital at 12.40 pm. Samples of 3 of them have been collected. The report will be known at night.

Earlier, an old woman named Latifa Begum (105) died in the corona isolation ward of Chandpur Sadar Hospital at 7:30 pm on Sunday. Her home is in Uttar Balia village near Bagra Bazar in Chandpur Sadar upazila.

She came to the hospital at 4:30 pm that day with corona symptoms. Since she did not collect the samples, there is no chance to know whether she was infected with corona.
