The total number of samples collected on this day was 295. Infected detection rate in the sample ratio is 40.00%. As it was Friday, no rapid antigen test was conducted in the district on that day.
Chandpur Civil Surgeon’s Office sources said. Sources said the samples were collected throughout the day on Friday. Reports were received at night. According to sources, the new victims include 67 from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 22 from Hajiganj, 8 from Faridganj, 2 from Matlab North, 16 from Matlab South, 1 from Shahrasti, 1 from Kachua and 1 from Haimchar.
On the same day, 116 people were declared corona-free. Of these, 33 are from Chandpur Sadar Upazila, 1 from Matlab North, 21 from Faridganj, 11 from Hajiganj, 31 from Shahrasti and 19 from Matlab South.
Sources further said that the number of people infected with corona in the district has increased to 9515 including the new ones. The death toll has risen to 166. So far 6675 people have been declared healthy. At present the number of patients undergoing treatment is 2674. Of these, 99 are hospitalized. The rest are in home isolation.
