Inauguration of Model Mosque-Islamic Cultural Center at Kachua. A model mosque and a state-of-the-art Islamic cultural center have been inaugurated at Kachua in Chandpur on the occasion of Mujib Year. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated 50 out of 560 model mosques of the country as the chief guest in a teleconference from Ganabhaban.

It was inaugurated on Thursday, June 10, at Kachua in Chandpur district and among the first 50 mosques.

Former Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir MP, Chandpur Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Upazila Acting Chairman Sultana Khanam, Upazila Executive Officer Dipayan Das Shuvo and others spoke at the inaugural function via video conference.

At the time, Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Md. Khalilur Rahman, Executive Engineer of Chandpur Public Works Rakibul Islam. AC (Land) Eki Mitra Chakma, OC Mohammad Mohiuddin, Upazila Awami League President Ayub Ali Patwary, General Secretary Sohrab Hossain Chowdhury and other leaders were present.

Incidentally, a three-storey building of Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center in Subidpur area of ​​Kachua Municipality was constructed with the assistance of Chandpur Public Works Department and under the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

The building is being constructed on an area of ​​12,547 square feet on an area of ​​about 43 percent. The construction cost has been estimated at 13 crore taka.
