Meanwhile, the election of the mayor of Chandpur municipality has been postponed after the death of BNP’s paddy crop candidate. However, the election for the post of councilor will be held on the due date. As a result, voters will apply only to the councilor’s post in the Chandpur municipal elections on March 29.
District Election and Returning Officer Md. Helal-ud-din said the date for voting in the new election as Mayor will be announced soon.
