40 mm rainfall recorded in Chandpur. Due to the effect of monsoon winds, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in different parts of the country. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on June 20 said that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely in most parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

Besides, a maximum of 28.0 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.6 degrees Celsius were recorded at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged. Rainfall is likely to decrease across the country in the next three days. There are no warning signs in the country’s seaports. On the other hand, there is warning signal number 1 in the country’s inland seaports.

According to the synoptic conditions of the weather, most of the monsoon axis extends from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and northern parts of Bangladesh to Assam. An additional part of it is located in the North Bay. Monsoon winds are active over Bangladesh and are moderate over North Bay.

In the last 24 hours, the highest temperature was recorded in Sylhet at 32 degrees Celsius and the lowest at 23.3 degrees Celsius in Madaripur.

Significant rainfall in the last 24 hours was 111 mm in Gopalganj, 99 mm in Khepupara, 83 mm in Madaripur, 73 mm in Netrokona, 76 mm in Mongla, 74 mm in Chattogram, 48 mm in Kutubdia and 31 mm in Dhaka. Today the sunset is at 6:48 pm and tomorrow the sunrise will be at 5:12 am.
