Tribute to martyrs on Victory Day in Chandpur

A massive program is being organized by the district administration on the occasion of the great victory day in Chandpur.

The day starts with the sunrise on Thursday 16th December at the memorial sculpture ‘Angikar’ of the Liberation War.

At the same time, the national flag was hoisted in all government and non-government organizations.

Later, wreaths were laid in memory of the martyrs and heroic freedom fighters of the great war of independence.

District Awami League leaders,Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and Municipal Mayor paid wreaths on behalf of Chandpur-3 MP and Education Minister Dipu Moni.

In phases, DC Anjana Khan Majlish on behalf of the district administration, SP Mohammad Milon Mahmud on behalf of the district police, Naval Police, PBI Chandpur District, CID Chandpur District, Chandpur Railway Police Station, District Muktijoddha Command Unity Chandpur, Press Club Chandpur, Civil Surgeon Chandpur, Chairman District Council Chandpur, District Jail, Ansar & VDP Chandpur, Fire Service, and Civil Fire. , Chandpur Government General Hospital, Upazila Parishad & Upazila Administration Chandpur Sadar, Department of Agricultural Extension Chandpur paid their homage to the martyrs of liberation war.

Mayor Zillur Rahma led the wreath-laying on behalf of Chandpur Municipality. Various government departments, educational institutions, political parties, and various professional organizations also paid tribute to the martyrs.

At 8:30 am, the district administration started hoisting the official national flag, inspected the parade, and took a salute at Chandpur Stadium.
