Another 32 People Died In Last 24 Hours

Outbreaks of coronavirus (Covid-19) are on the rise in the country. The death march in this virus is also long. Another 32 people have died from the virus in the last 24 hours. The death toll rose to 4,383.

In the last 24 hours, 2,158 new patients have been identified as infected with corona. With this, the total number of identified patients stood at three lakh and 19 thousand 686 people. Two thousand and 964 more people have been newly healed. As a result, the total number of healthy patients is now two lakh and 13 thousand 980.

Thursday (September 03) in the afternoon, the Additional Director General of the Department of Health (Administration), Professor Nasima Sultana gave this information in a press release.

In the last 24 hours, 14,613 samples were collected and 14,422 samples were tested in 92 RT-PCR laboratories to detect coronavirus. The total number of sample tests stands at 15 lakh and 92 thousand 38.

Of those killed in the last 24 hours, 24 were men and eight were women. Of these, 31 died at the hospital and one died at home. There were two in their forties, 12 people over fifties and 16 people over sixties. There were 15 from Dhaka division, seven from Chattogram division, three from Sylhet division, six from Rangpur division and one from Mymensingh division.

Identification, recovery and mortality
According to the press release, the patient identification rate is 14.96 percent compared to the sample test in the last 24 hours. So far, the patient identification rate is 20.08 percent compared to the sample test. The recovery rate is 66.93 percent and the death rate is 1.37 percent compared to the number of patients identified. The death toll so far is 3,432 male (78.30 percent) and 951 female (21.70 percent).

A press release on Wednesday (September 02) said 35 more people had died in the last 24 hours in Corona. In 15 thousand and 204 sample tests, corona was found in the bodies of two thousand and 582 people. The highest death toll in the country was 64 on June 30. The maximum number of 4,019 corona was reported on July 02.

The coronavirus has turned the whole world into a place of death. Since the outbreak in Wuhan, China, last December, the number of people infected with the virus worldwide has risen to 26 million. The death toll is about eight lakh and 68 thousand. However, more than one crore 84 lakh and 58 thousand patients have already recovered. Coronavirus was first identified in Bangladesh on March 08. The first death occurred on 18 March.
