Robotics Lab to be established in secondary school

‘Robotics Lab will be set up in every secondary school in the country to enrich the students’ knowledge of information technology’ , said State Minister for Information and Communications Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak.

He addressed the reception at the Bangladesh Open Source Network and the Robotics and Mechanics Engineering Department of Dhaka University at the Daffodil International University Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday.

Calling on the students to participate in the robotics competition the Minister said, ‘We are entering the fourth industrial revolution. If we cannot make our students knowledgeable about technology, then we have to fall behind in the modern world competition’.

He also said, “Sheikh Hasina Institute of frontier Technology is being established to build a science-based generation of knowledge and make it efficient in the field of Emerging Technology.”

Among others, President of Bangladesh Robot Olympiad and leader of Robot Olympiad Lafifa Jamal, Munir Hasan the General Secretary of Bangladesh Open Source Network, Dr Mehedi Hasan the Deputy Secretary of ICT, were also present on the occasion.
